* Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries.
* In 1985, Rotary made an historic commitment to immunise all of the world’s children against polio. Working in partnership with nongovernmental organisations and national governments thorough its PolioPlus program, Rotary is the largest private-sector contributor to the global polio eradication campaign and has contributed more than US$600 million in 122 countries. Rotarians have mobilised hundreds of thousands of PolioPlus volunteers and have immunised more than one billion children worldwide.
