A much needed training day with Lynne at Living Web Design. On Monday, November 9, Rotarians Juliet Navarro, Gavin McCormack and Nina Grace were welcomed at the training site and immediately got down to it. Since two of those being trained readily regard IT as a weak suit, it is a credit to the patience and tenacity of Lynee that we got so much out of this training, indeed that you are now reading this post on The Walkerville Club of Rotary WebWeb Page. So thank you to Lynne and her friendly helper, Deborah for a job well done. We shall now endeavour to hone those skills and use our web page with a dob of help from Juliet along the way.
52 students participated in the Ecovision Tree Planting event. In total 150 seedlings were planted by the students from Adelaide High school.
The seedlings were planted alongside Oval 3. The students were presented with a certificate of participation for their community service hours.
Liz Horrocks organised this with some of her students, with trees from our nursery.
Since the mid 80s Rotary and its partners have been working hard to make history by eradicating the crippling disease Polio from our planet. While Australia is currently Polio free, it remains only one plane trip away from us. 2010 saw cases of Polio worldwide reduced to 1,352, a 99% reduction since starting! Read more…
